So if you have been following me on other social media you will be well aware that in these last few days I have officially moved to Leeds to become a university student. So far the experience has been a variety of emotions mixing from the stressful move in to the exiting night life and amazing people I have become friends with. I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all what my life has been like this last week.
As Freshers hasn't started yet, the only info and gossip I'll be able to dish to you all will be based on my experiences so far, such as being bloody skint five days in and spending almost thirty quid on one pound drinks. Love it so far.
So, I will start by telling you all about my driving experience getting to uni. It was awful.
My parents are those type of people that have a sat nav, but decide to ignore it and just try winging it. For those of you who have driven to Leeds before, you'll understand why this is a terrible idea as it is awful to drive around with its one way system. It was tragic.
After many silly arguments about third exits and god knows what else, we actually made it to my accommodation, taking us an hour and a half. I live in Hull. According to google it should have only taken us 1hr and 4 Minutes. What made this journey even worse was the fact I was crammed in the back seat of the car with boxes and cutlery in places they should never even see.
But I made it. Eventually.
(For anyone who is considering moving to university in these next few years, I seriously would highly recommend hiring a van. Believe me it will make your life so much easier.)
Driving up to my accommodation was mind blowing. When you think about going to uni you think of it as you as an individual and forget about the other hundreds people going on the same day. So seeing that many people outside my halls with suitcases and trolleys full of stuff was crazy.
After collecting my keys and unloading my mountains of stuff in my room, me and my family decided to abandon it and drive somewhere for something to eat. A de-stress pint and good pub grub was what we all needed.
After having a lovely meal, I had to eventually go back and decorate my room. This was literally the part I was most excited for. Whilst I was shopping for all the stuff with Sarah, I couldn't wait to get here and make my room as cosy as possible. Fairy lights, posters, cacti the lot. Although I had to leave most of my stuff at home due to the fact it wouldn't all fit in the car, I'm pleased with the way my room turned out. However, I'm in serious need of a photo rope to clip loads of my pictures to.
The next step was meeting Libby, one of my three other flat mates. We've been in touch before we moved and get on like long lost sisters, so meeting each other wasn't as awkward as I first thought meeting flat mates would be. All we need to do now is meet the other two boys!
What was really amazing about our first day was the fact people were knocking on our flat door inviting us to flat parties and predrinks etc. and just being so outgoing. After a while me and Libby decided to get ready and go to a predrinks in one of our halls to meet new people. I cannot believe how mad people actually are. There literally is so many different personalities and everyone is so friendly. I would recommend going to these flat parties on your first night and just throw yourself in there and be as outgoing as possible.
The first food shop.
Killed me.
I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily, Libby did. We decided to get the food together and plan what meals we wanted to eat during the week. So far so good. WE EVEN MADE A SUNDAY ROAST. I'm so proud of us. Even though our fridge decided to freeze all our vegetables, we've been coping really well so far.

Monday night at 'Quids In' at Pryzm Leeds was... erm, eventful. We all went out as a group (the people who I have met over the last few days and made pal's with) and just had one of the best nights ever. The group we have formed gets on so well with each other and I'm so looking forward to freshers with our little squad. Just not so much how skint I will be after it.
All I can really talk about now is how much I'm missing people back home already. Not being able to see my best friend every day and not being able to cuddle him is killing me I stg. Missing Ellis so much its making me want to vomit more than the one pound VK's at Quids in.
I feel like I have practically wrote an essay and you will all be so bored by now so I'm gonna leave it at that. I feel I've covered most important stuff, cause I cant really think of anything else that's worth mentioning. I hope you've enjoyed my essay and keep following me and reading my pointless crap.
kay bye.
x
